On December 17, 2010, Zimek was awarded a Schedule contract from the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). Obtaining a GSA Schedule contract is essential to assure expedited purchasing of Zimek's products by the federal government.

GSA Schedules provide fast, flexible, and cost-effective procurement solutions that allow customers to meet acquisition challenges, while achieving their missions. GSA Schedules are also referred to as Multiple Award Schedules and Federal Supply Schedules. Under the GSA Schedules Program, GSA establishes long-term government wide contracts with commercial firms.

With a GSA Schedule contract, the Government can bypass the open bidding process and purchase Zimek's Touch-Free™ Rapid Decontamination Systems without difficulty.

In November of 2007, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security purchased Zimek’s Rapid Decontamination Systems for use by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

Zimek supports the U.S. Department of Homeland Security by helping to protect our first responders from biological threats and infection.

The Department of Veterans Affairs began purchasing Zimek's Rapid Decontamination Systems in 2009. Most recently, the Department of Defense has purchased Zimek's Rapid Decontamination Systems. Zimek's products are proudly manufactured in the United States.

In today's economy, government budgets have been reduced substantially. One of the greatest challenges our first responder customers face is finding funding to acquire Zimek's life-saving products.

Because we are utilized by many government entities, federal, state, and local grant funding opportunities have become available for specific markets, particularly fire/EMS departments, hospitals, and public transportation authorities.
